It is an admitted position that they did not fill up the registration form for the students of Class IX in the year 2020. The registration form shows that it was filled up in respect of one form (Rimpa Khatun page 23) that the Headmaster signed on 07.12.2021. Three such forms are there. As the petitioners admittedly did not fill up the registration form, they were not allowed to fill up the enrollment form by the school. Neither the school nor the petitioner come before this Court in appropriate time for an order for sitting in the ensuing examination which is commencing from 7th March, 2022.

Learned advocate for the State and the learned advocate for the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has vehemently opposed that unless a person has the registration no. as a student which is to be taken in school, he cannot be allowed to sit in the Madhyamik Examination otherwise a flood gate will open and there will not be any meaning of the provision in getting the registration.

Learned advocate for the petitioners has not been able to satisfy me in respect of these two questions as also why the petitioners suddenly have appeared before this Court for getting an order for sitting in the examination.

I do not find any merit in this writ application and it is dismissed.
