1. The present writ petition has been preferred alleging inaction on the part of the police authorities in taking appropriate action based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner in 2016.

2. I am of the view that with the passage of time, the writ petition has become infructuous.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, however, without any order as to costs.
