WPA 4559 of 2026 (Ram Babu Ram vs. State of West Bengal & Ors.) Mr. Nilanjan Adhikari Mr. Sourav Mondal Ms. Oindrila Sinha .... For the Petitioner Mr. Pritam Choudhury Attaul Haque Mollah .... For the State The petitioner claims to be the recorded owner of the plot in question and has been granted permission to convert the same from 'danga' to 'bastu'. He intends to raise construction in the said plot and seeks liberty to apply before the concerned Panchayat for sanction. Such liberty is granted.

The petitioner shall submit the application for sanction of building plan before the Pradhan, Amrasota Gram Panchayat, being the 3rd respondent herein, within 7 days from date. The 3rd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application within four weeks from the date of receipt thereof upon granting reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
