Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the incident occurred out of village rivalry. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the injury report and the statements recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the injured.

Learned advocate appearing for the de facto complainant submits that another co-accused was denied anticipatory bail by this Hon'ble Court. The petitioner stands on the same footing.

Considering the statements recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the victim which mentions the involvement of the petitioner and considering the fact that the petitioner stands on the same footing with the other co-accused whose prayer for anticipatory bail

was rejected by this Hon'ble Court on February 25, 2022 in CRM(A) 966 of 2022, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 1071 of 2022 is dismissed.
