Petitioner is the widow of the deceased at whose instance Bidhannagar Police Station Case No.157 of 2018 was initiated. If the learned ACJM, Bidhannagar is satisfied that the de facto complainant has expired and the present petitioner, namely, Maya Sarkar happens to be the widow of the said deceased, in that case, the widow of the deceased would in the circumstances be interested in the outcome of Bidhannagar Police Station Case No.157 of 2018. Accordingly, if any application is filed at her instance, the learned trial court would entertain that and decide the same on merits giving a status of victim as per the relevant provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

It has been informed that an application dated 28.07.2023 is pending.

Learned Magistrate on the next date would dispose of the same in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 654 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
