Mr. Avirup Chatterjee, Mr. Rishav Das ...for the petitioner This is an application wherein the petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No.916 of 2023 presently pending before learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kalyani, Nadia. It is submitted that the said complaint was lodged on 2nd December, 2022 and after investigation police submitted charge-sheet on 31st December, 2022 but since then charge has not yet been framed by the Trial Court.

In such circumstances, he has prayed for a direction upon the Court below for expeditious disposal of the aforesaid proceeding. Having heard learned Counsel for the petitioner it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous and if it is allowed, the opposite parties will have no cause to prejudice and, as such, service of copy of application upon the opposite parties is dispensed with. Having considered the prayer made by the petitioner, I find that the prayer is justified and required to be allowed for the ends of justice. In view of above invoking this Court's jurisdiction under Section 483 of the Cr.P.C. read with 529 of the BNSS, the Trial Court is requested to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the aforesaid G.R. Case No.916 of 2023 and to make his best effort to

conclude the entire proceeding preferably within a period of six months from the next date of hearing.

CRR 806 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.
