1. This writ petition has been filed praying for a direction upon the authorities to take action in accordance with Section 17 of the West Bengal Inland Fisheries Act, 1984.

2. The petitioners have approached this court since the representation has given by them was not acted upon.

3. The learned Government counsel has produced a copy of the report filed by the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Burdwan Sadar-I, Purba Bardhaman dated 5.3.2025 from which it is seen that after an enquiry was conducted by the Revenue Inspector in pursuance of Section 4C(5) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, notice has been issued

to all the recorded raiyats vide office memo dated 3.3.2025 with a direction for restoration of the plot in question to its earlier position. Copy of the said notices have also been appended to the report. Further, the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer has undertaken that a further action will be taken as per the provisions of the WBLR Act, 1955.

4. In the light of the stand taken, we direct the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer to proceed with in accordance with law after notice to all concerned and take appropriate action within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order.

5. With the above observations, the matter stands disposed of.
