Petitioner seeks for bail.
Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that all other co-accused were granted bail. the petitioner is in custody for 67 days. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that the petitioner was absconding for two years. He is the mastermind of the murder. Three persons were murdered.
Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that the petitioner was absconding for a period of two years, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
C.R.M. (DB) 615 of 2022 is dismissed.
