Heard learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.

It is admitted by the State in the report submitted by them that the impugned demand notice dated January 06, 2012 was issued upon the petitioners inadvertently due to non-availability of records and the petitioners are lessees under the West Bengal Estate Acquisition Act, 1953 read with The West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the State the impugned notice dated January 06, 2012 is quashed.

This writ petition being WPA No. 4585 of 2021 is disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
