Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mr. Avishek Sinha, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that although the present case being Ranaghat Police Station Case No. 362 of 2013 was registered on 04.09.2013 and charge-sheet was submitted on or about 30.04.2014, but for the last nine years, the same has been continuing without any progress of the trial and the next date has been fixed on 08.11.2023 for evidence.

Having regard to the manner in which the trial is progressing, I direct that the Additional Superintendent of Police, Ranaghat Police District would act as a Nodal Officer of this case. The said officer will monitor the progress of trial of the case.

The learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ranaghat would communicate with the concerned superior officer in case any witness does not appear on the date so

fixed by the learned trial court. All efforts be taken by the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest by fixing one date in every 15 days.

Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would ensure regarding the production of materials, documents and exhibits on the dates so fixed for examination of the witnesses.

All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 579 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
