On prayer of the petitioners, liberty is granted to the petitioners to amend the cause title of the writ petition by impleading the Land Acquisition Officer, Office of the District Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur, as a party respondent to the writ petition.

The parties are represented.

The grievance of the petitioners is that out of a plot of land measuring about 0.65, 0.05 acres have been acquired by the State. But the said portion of the land has not been demarcated by the State for which they are prevented from utilising the land in their possession. The petitioners applied before the Land Acquisition Officer, Paschim Medinipur for such demarcation, but the said application, it is alleged, has not been disposed of.

The petitioners have admitted that they have received adequate compensation for the said land.

Considering the submissions made by the parties and the material on record, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the respondent no.5 to dispose of the application of the petitioners dated 14th December, 2016 within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order after granting an opportunity of hearing to all the affected parties in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 3057 of 2020 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
