In terms of the notification of the Central Government issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel and Training) dated October 31, 2008, the all service matters relating to BSNL are maintainable only before the Central Administrative Tribunal under the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Administrative Tribunal Act, 1985.

Hence, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to move the Central Administrative Tribunal on the self-same cause of action.

There shall be no order as to costs.
