Counsel for the petitioner submits that the Baraboni Police Station, Paschim Bardhaman has been harassing and preventing the petitioner from carrying on soft coal business from a shop room. Reference is made to the orders of this Court on 19.12.2012 in W. P. No. 26044(W) of 2012, on 02.03.2017 in W. P. No. 5718(W) of 2017 and on 17.03.2017 in W. P. No. 5718(W) of 2017 where restraint orders have been passed against the police. Learned counsel for the State submits that since after an incident of suspected impropriety by the writ petitioner, the police had occasion to seize his vehicle and after having found all valid documents, the vehicle was released immediately.

It is submitted that thereafter there has been no occasion for the police to interfere with the writ petitioner's business.

In view of the aforesaid submissions of the learned counsel for the State, there is no need for further order in this matter.

However, it is made clear that the aforesaid order shall not prevent the police from taking steps against the petitioner, if any genuine or bona fide information is received by them in this regard. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
