The DPI and the University are represented.

It is submitted by learned counsel appearing for the respondents that a part of the amount due to the petitioner has already been released on 28th March, 2022.

It appears from the writ petition that the petitioner had written to the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal on 20.12.2021 but the letter has not been responded to till date. Hence the DPI is directed to consider the representation

and dispose of the same by way of a reasoned order within a period of three weeks after hearing all concerned parties including the petitioner and the College. The DPI shall release the arrear subsistence allowance to the petitioner in accordance with the law within a period of two weeks from the date of passing of such reasoned order. The College is directed to take all necessary steps for giving due effect to this direction. WPA 3780 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
