Chakraborty, learned counsel representing the petitioners submits that the very proceeding being G.R. No. 34/1986 which was pending before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tamluk, Midnapore has already been disposed of by the learned Special (CBI) Court No. 1, Calcutta on 24.12.2019. Learned Trial Court was pleased to record an order of acquittal against the accused persons. Therefore, the present application has lost all its merit.

Mr. De, learned counsel representing the C.B.I. submits that challenging the order of acquittal, C.B.I. has preferred a revisional application before this Hon'ble Court which has been registered as CRMSPL 56 of 2022.

This submission of Mr. De virtually supports the learned counsel for the petitioners that the matter has been disposed of by the learned Trial Court with an order of acquittal. In my opinion, this revisional application is now bereft of merit and is accordingly, dismissed.
