Petitioner has expressed his anxiety regarding the progress of the investigation, since he has suffered financial loss because of the documents being forged and allegedly property transferred. To that effect, information was furnished, pursuant to which Kalitala Ashuti PS Case No. 156/2024 was registered for investigation.

Petitioner contends that there has been no progress in the investigation, although the case has been registered.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State has submitted a report and specifically pointed out the steps taken by the Investigating Officer. It has been pointed out that not only statements under section 180 BNSS have been recorded but the

concerned District Sub-Registrar-IV, Alipore were communicated, all pertinent documents which were allegedly forged deed have been collected, subsequent signature of the complainant, FIR named accused persons including person who impersonated himself have been collected and sent to the Examiner of Questioned Documents for verification.

Having considered the steps taken by the Investigating Officer, I direct that on each and every month the Investigating Officer will submit a progress report before the learned CJM/ACJM, Alipore in seisin of Kalitala Ashuti Police Station Case No. 156/2024. All efforts be put in to take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 4065 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
