Petitioner seeks bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that fake currency was not recovered from the petitioner at the time of arrest. The recovery was shown to be made during the period of time when the petitioner was in police custody. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that a sum in excess of one lakh in fake currency was recovered from the house belonging to the petitioner on the leading statement made by the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (DB) 623 of 2022 is dismissed.
