The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of representation addressed to the administrative authorities including the Inspectorin-Charge, Barasat Police Station, no steps have been taken and there has been illegal construction and demolition work being pursued. The petitioner claims that the area where such activities are being carried out by the PWD are the tenanted portion of the petitioner, over which without any permission, demolition and construction activities are being carried out.

State has submitted a report along with statement of fact prepared by Executive Engineer-II (PWD), Barasat Division. A report has also been submitted by the Inspector-in-Charge, Barasat Police Station. Let the same be kept with the record.

In view of the representation of the petitioner having not been responded by the Inspector-in-

Charge, Barasat Police Station or no action has been taken, I direct that the Inspector-in-Charge, Barasat Police Station will communicate with the petitioner herein regarding the necessary activities taken pursuant to the permissions granted by the State authorities. Such communication be made within a period of a fortnight from the date of communication of this order by the learned government advocate appearing on behalf of the State. The information to the petitioner should include the report as well as the statement of fact which has been placed before this Court.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 4174 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

An application being CAN 1 of 2025 has been filed. In view of the writ petition being disposed of, the said application would be deemed to be disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
