Suman Patra v. Smt Arpita Patra
C.R.R. 685 of 2022 Court No.
Item 18 Ssi In the matter of:- Suman Patra.
08.03.
(via video conference) Mr. Suman Patra ...petitioner appearing in person The petitioner appearing in person submits that he would not like to press the application for quashing and instead prays for expeditious disposal of the proceeding.
It is urged that the impugned proceeding in a complaint case under Section 31 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act and Sections 323, 325, 326, 307, 448, 447, 354B, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code was initiated in 2017. The accused appeared and prayed for bail. However, since 2018, several adjournments were granted and the proceeding became practically stalled.
On the prayer of the petitioner appearing in person, the application for quashing is dismissed as not pressed.
However, the learned trial Judge is requested to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible
without granting any unnecessary adjournments to any of the parties.
With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
