Siraj Munir ...for the Petitioner The petitioner herein has made an innocuous prayer for a direction upon the court below to dispose of the interim application filed by the petitioner under Section 23 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 within a reasonable period of time.

Since the prayer made by the petitioner, as prayed for, is innocuous and if it is allowed in terms of the prayer made therein, the opposite parties will have no cause to prejudice and as such, the service of copy of application upon the opposite parties is hereby dispensed with. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and that the prayer made by the petitioner is justified and in view of the fact that a hapless lady is knocking at the door of the court by imposing her faith upon the statute, the instant application being CRR 788 of 2026 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to dispose of the interim application, under Section 23 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005, preferably within a period of two months from the next date of hearing.

This order is passed invoking this court's jurisdiction under Section 529 of the BNSS.
