Case No. 620 of 2020 dated 29.06.2020 under Sections 376/370/372/373/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4/5/7 of the Immoral Traffic and Prevention Act, 1956 and Sections 4/8/12/17 of the POCSO Act, 2012 and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
And In the matter of: Tanmoy Howladar ....petitioner.
Mr. Sabir Ahmed Mr. Mujibar Ali Naskar Mr. Apan Saha Mr. Tasnim Ahmed ...for the petitioner.
Mr. Rudradipta Nandy ...for the State.
Petitioner renews the prayer for bail.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the police left out many accused in the charge-sheet. He highlights the period of detention of the petitioner. He submits that there is hardly any progress in the trial. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that that the petitioner was managing one of the two hotels from where a number of minor girls were recovered who were made to indulge in immoral traffic. He submits that prayers for bail of all other co-accused approaching this Hon'ble Court were rejected. The delay was due to further investigation being made. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that there is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
C.R.M. (DB) 627 of 2022 is dismissed.
