Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the representation of the petitioner dated 22.01.2025, till date has not been considered by Ausgram Police Station in spite of having received the same within a close proximity of time. The petitioner complained that she had been to the police station on number of occasions in spite of that there has been no progress.

Learned advocate appearing for the private respondent nos. 4 and 5 submits that the nature of dispute complained of is purely civil in nature. As such, there is no scope for the police authorities to interfere in respect of the accusations made in the representation.

State has submitted a report which reflects that the police authorities over mobile requested

the petitioner and her husband to come to the police station inviting complaint. It is further recorded in the report submitted before this Court that Ausgram Police Station has already sent an enquiry to the Additional District Sub Registrar, Guskara for ascertaining the correctness in respect of the representation made by the respondent, the report of which is still awaiting.

In view of the steps taken and the police authorities intending to examine the complainant, I direct that in case the complainant goes to the police station, police authorities would ascertain regarding the genuinity of the accusations made and take steps in accordance with law.

In view of the petitioner staying at Chinsurah and the jurisdictional police station being Ausgram Police Station within the district of Purba Bardhaman, a request has been made on behalf of the petitioner so that some time be afforded. Accordingly, the petitioner within 72 hours would visit Ausgram Police Station when the concerned police officer would deal with the nature of the accusations as he/she deem fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 4184 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
