Joydeep Bose Mr. Chanchal Kumar Dutta Ms. Krishna Mullick ... for the petitioners This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the respondents in Title Appeal No.408 of 2016 praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, 16th Court at Alipore to dispose of the title appeal expeditiously.

It appears from the record that the title appeal is pending since 2016. Record reveals that by an order dated 3rd October, 2024, hearing of the appeal was fixed on 29th January, 2025.

Mr. Dutta, learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the next date has been fixed for hearing of the title appeal on 19th March, 2025.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, this court feels that there is no necessity to direct issuance of notice upon the opposite party. However, the petitioners shall be obliged to forward the copy of this application as well as the order of this court upon the opposite party or the learned advocate appearing for the opposite party in the learned first appellate court.

In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioners, the learned Additional District Judge, 16th Court, Alipore, is requested to take up hearing of the Title Appeal No.408 of 2016 on the next date fixed i.e. on 19th March, 2025, and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible preferably by the end of June, 2025, without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

CO 630 of 2025 stands disposed of accordingly. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
