Mr. Avijit Ganguly ...for the State Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report and is also submitted by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the private opposite party that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party is not willing to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. The proceeding being G.R.Case No. 138 of 2025 pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Howrah be quashed. The petitioner be set at liberty at once and discharged from his bail bonds.

The criminal revision being CRR No. 826 of 2025 is allowed. As a consequence the connected application being CRAN No. 1 of 2025 is disposed of.
