Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the earlier prayer for bail was rejected on the ground that the trial was to commence. The trial since then is in progress. Therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is the sole accused. The death was caused by manual strangulation. He refers to the materials in the case diary.

The de facto complainant is represented.

The earlier prayer for bail was rejected not only on the ground of close proximity of the trial commencing but

also on the materials in the case diary, the gravity of the offence and the complicity of the petitioner therein. There is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection dated January 4, 2022. Consequently, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (DB) 631 of 2022 is dismissed.
