Petitioner complains that his land is being encroached upon while constructing a bridge. To that effect, the BL&LRO is in seisin of the matter and in spite of complaining to the police authorities the private respondent nos. 7 to 10 are reluctant to interfere and till date did not take any steps. Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the State has already submitted a report. According to the enclosure to the report it has been recorded that the petitioner's land has never been encroached while construction of the bridge was being done. It has also been reflected in the report that enquiry was conducted by the police authorities of Shyampur Police Station, however no untoward incident has been reported by any of the local persons.

Be that as it may, petitioner is apprehensive and as such he has approached this court. In case the police authorities find that a further information is furnished against the respondent nos. 7 to 10 who according to the petitioner are interfering with their enjoyment of life and property, in that case, police authorities would ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility and/or any untoward incident resulting at the behest of the private respondents being inflicted upon the petitioner. With the aforesaid observations WPA 4085 of 2025 is disposed of.
