Report submitted by the State is taken on record. Bair prayer of the petitioner was turned down on four earlier occasions considering the merits of the case. The petitioner renews his prayer solely on the ground of slow progress in trial. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that several dates have been taken by the prosecution for examination of the witnesses and trial is progressing at a snail's pace. It appears that in rejecting the bail application of the petitioner on June 20, 2024, this Court directed the learned trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent and bring the same to its logical conclusion at the earliest, preferably within a period of 18 months from the next date

fixed for recording of evidence, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. Considering the material on record, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

Learned trial Court is directed to adhere to the time frame given by this Court vide order dated June 20, 2024 and conclude the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The application is disposed of.
