The petitioner seeks a new service connection from Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited (CESC). The learned advocate appearing for CESC submits that an inspection has already been conducted and that the petitioner has paid the requisite fees for the connection. However, the connection could not be effected due to resistance from respondent Nos. 4 to 7.

In light of this, I dispose of this writ petition by directing the Officer-in-Charge of Sankrail Police Station to provide the necessary assistance to the officials of CESC, ensuring that the connection is effected at the petitioner's premises within one month from the date of this order. The cost of police assistance shall be borne by the petitioner. Accordingly, WPA 4132 of 2025 is disposed of.
