Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. He is in custody since his date of arrest i.e. 23.06.2020. Although a charge sheet was submitted on 4th December, 2020, till date, no supplementary charge sheet as sought has been filed by the Investigating Agency. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault of the present petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that no delay has been occasioned in this case. According to him, a supplementary charge sheet would be filed after obtaining the chemical report in question. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the

State and have perused the revision petition. I do not think that any delay has been occasioned in this present case. However, the petitioner is in custody since 23.06.2020.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I request the learned trial Court to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible after taking appropriate steps for ensuring that the supplementary report as sought to be filed by the Investigating Agency is filed at the earliest. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
