Petitioner seeks bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 80 days. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, the prayer for bail should be considered. He submits that there is no material against the petitioner. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of an eyewitness recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code which implicates the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the statement of the eyewitness recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code which implicates the petitioner, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. (DB) 637 of 2022 is dismissed.
