The petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He has been charged with offences punishable under Sections 4 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The petitioner's prayer for bail was rejected by a coordinate Bench by an order dated October 21, 2020 passed in CRM 8302 of 2020.

We have seen the material in the case diary including the statement of the victim girl (13 yeas old at the time of the incident) recorded under Section 164 of the Code. In view of the material on record and the earlier rejection of the petitioner's prayer and there being no significant change of circumstance since then, as also in view of the nature and gravity of the offence that the petitioner has

been charged with, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. CRM No. 1836 of 2021 is accordingly dismissed. ( Suvra Ghosh, J. ) ( Arijit Banerjee, J. )
