The petitioner is one of several co-accused persons. The charge is of kidnapping and also under the provisions of the Immoral Trafficking Act.

The petitioner says that he has absolutely no connection with the incident. The principal accused persons have been arrested. His name transpires from the statements made by such persons. He prays for anticipatory bail. The State strongly opposes the prayer. We are told that the victim girl has not yet been recovered. The State also says that the petitioner is the kingpin of the entire incident. We have considered the material in the case diary. Given the nature and gravity of the allegations against the petitioner and that charge sheet is yet to be submitted, which means investigation is not complete, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer.

The prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. CRM No. 1844 of 2021 is, thus, dismissed.
