... for the respondent In terms of our referral order dated 8th December, 2021, the Hon'ble Justice Debi Prosad Dey, Former Judge, was appointed as Mediator.

Before the learned Mediator, the parties had arrived at a settlement, which is reduced in writing, duly signed by the learned Mediator, the parties and their respective learned Advocates. A Joint Compromise/Settlement Application has been filed before the learned Mediator. The said Joint Compromise/Settlement Application duly signed by the parties and their respective Advocates on 14th January, 2022 is taken on record. We find that the terms are lawful.

In view thereof, the appeal is disposed of.

The department shall draw up a decree as expeditiously as possible in terms of the settlement arrived at by and between the parties in presence of the learned Mediator.

Debi Prosad Dey, Former Judge in bringing about the settlement between the parties.
