The writ petition is dismissed as not pressed insofar as the petitioner nos. 72, 77 and 100 are concerned.

The other petitioners have used supplementary affidavits. Copies whereof, has been made available to counsel for the State.

A communication was received from the B. D. O, Pathar Pratima Development Block, District- South 24 Parganas on 26.04.2021 via e-mail for submission of particulars of bank accounts. By a communication dated 23rd July, 2021, the petitioners had submitted such particulars of bank accounts.

Counsel for the State also submits that the writ petitioners shall be allowed the pensions after availability of quota from the District.

In those circumstances, the District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas, shall ensure availability of appropriate quota to the BDO, Pathar Pratima Development Block, to enable the pensions to the petitioners.

It is expected that the concerned District Magistrate shall act as expeditiously as possible in this regard.

The petitioners shall communicate a copy of this order to the District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas along with the writ petition and supplementary affidavit.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
