Report submitted by the State reflects that the petitioner as well as her husband has been staying at the ground floor of the premises. The information which has been furnished with the different police authorities are available in the police records and have been enquired into.

The police authorities have also conducted enquiry from the local inhabitants of the area and the consistent version of the police authorities are that the petitioner and her husband are staying at the ground floor of the premises. The report also reflects that the SDO, Kalyani has also passed necessary directions upon the Inspector-in-Charge, Haringhata Police Station.

Accordingly, if there is any discrepancy in the report or the petitioner is of the view that the contents of

the report are not commensurate with the ground reality existing, in that case petitioner would bring such information to the notice of the learned SDO, Kalyani who under the Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizenship Act, 2007, would pass appropriate orders/directions upon the Inspector-in-Charge, Haringhata Police Station.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA No. 4302 of 2024 is disposed of.

The report submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for both the parties.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
