1. The petitioner by way of this public interest writ petition states that several people who are street hawkers and occupying the footpath and no action has been taken by the authorities despite representation dated 16.9.2024. Similar representation has also been given to the police authorities.

2. However, no postal acknowledgement has been filed in the writ petition.

3. The learned advocate appearing for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation submitted that a town vending committee has already been constituted and the matter is looked into by the said committee.

4. Therefore, we direct the 4th respondent to forward the representation given by the petitioner dated 16.9.2024 to the town vending committee who shall proceed to take action in accordance with law.

5. The petitioner is directed to submit one more representation along with the copy of the earlier representation and copy of this order to enable the town vending committee to proceed with in accordance with law.

6. With the above observations, the matter stands disposed of.
