Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioner be kept with the records.
Despite service respondents are not represented. The petitioner claims to be a Guest Lecturer at Bakshirhat Mahavidyalaya, Cooch Behar. She seeks benefit of the Government Circular dated December 23, 2019 issued by the Higher Education Department of the State as appearing at page 32 of the writ petition.
It appears that by a letter dated February 24, 2022 she alleged before the Director of Public Instruction, Government of West Bengal that the Lecturer-in-Charge of the said college deliberately and did not upload the name of the petitioner for conferring the benefit of the aforesaid circular. Since the name of the petitioner was not uploaded by the college, it was not possible for the Director of Public Instruction to extend the benefit of the said Government Circular.
The college is not represented and in its absence the truthfulness of the allegations as contained in the letter dated February 24, 2022 cannot be ascertained.
I, however, direct the College to communicate the petitioner the reason as to why her name was not uploaded on the relevant website for extending the benefits of the aforesaid circular dated December 23, 2019.
