1. This is an application under section 528 read with section 529 of the BNSS filed by the petitioner for expeditious hearing of the Sessions Case No. 123 of 2022 arising out of Ketugram Police Station Case No. 262 of 2022 dated 5.6.2022 under sections 498A/406/120B/114/326/307/ 34 of the Indian Penal Code read with section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
2. It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that 24 witnesses are to be examined out of which only 5 witnesses have been examined and if this way the trial continues, it would linger the matter for an indefinite period.
3. Heard the submission and perused the record and also that as 5 witnesses have already been examined out of the 24 prosecution witnesses and the case is a sessions trial and it is natural a reasonable time is to be given to the learned Court to complete the trial.
4. The learned Court is however, requested to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
5. With the aforesaid observations, this criminal revisional application is disposed of.
