(DB) 662 of 2022 In Re: - An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed on 04.03.2022 in connection with New Alipore P.S. case No. 42 of 2014 dated 06/02/2014 under Sections 364A/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. And In the matter of: Julfikar Laskar @ Saheb @ Rakesh ....petitioner.
Ms. Sofia Nesar ...for the petitioner.
Mr. Neguive Ahmed, Ld. APP Ms. Ayantika Roy ...for the State.
The application is taken up for consideration subsequent to the order dated March 9, 2022.
Report filed in Court be taken on record.
The Court is informed that the date is fixed for the purpose of arguments of the defense.
In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to request the Trial Court to dispose of the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to any of the parties.
Considering the fact that there is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. (DB) 662 of 2022 is dismissed.
