1. Petitioner is in custody for more than four years. He submits there is inordinate delay in trial.

2. Learned lawyer for the State submits seven witnesses have been examined.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits. Trial is in progress. Seven witnesses have already been examined. Offences if proved would attract mandatory life imprisonment.

4. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

6. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date.
