Petitioner is in custody for more than two years. There is inordinate delay in trial. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits trial is in progress. Four out of nine witnesses have been examined.

We have considered the materials on record. There are materials implicating the petitioner in the crime. Four out of nine witnesses have been examined.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within one year from the
