1) By way of filing this public interest litigation the petitioner seeks to challenge the appointment of the 10th respondent as Karmadhyakha of North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad stating that he is holding the office of profit.

2) It is seen from the order passed by the District Inspector of Schools dated 21st March, 2020 that the department has given no objection to grant of extra ordinary leave with full pay in favour of the 10th respondent, who is a teacher of a school, for the period of five years or till the completion of his term as Karmadhyakha of North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad. The North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad has also given a certificate to the effect that the 10th respondent does not draw any Member Honorarium

for the period ranging November 2018 to till now from North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad. It is seen from the said communication that there is no holding of office of profit by the 10th respondent. That apart he has been functioning as Karmadhyakha of the North 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad for several years. Therefore, we find no ground to entertain this writ petition.
