The petitioner is a retired employee of the Chandannagore Municipal Corporation. His grievance is that his terminal benefits were assessed by the Corporation but only an ad hoc of sum of Rs.1,00,000/- was paid to him.

The petitioner prays for releasing the balance arrear revised gratuity and the arrear revised pension in terms of ROPA 2019.

The amount which is due and payable to the petitioner is appearing at page 17 of the writ petition communicated to the petitioner by order dated 9th March, 2022.

Learned advocate appearing for the Chandannagore Municipal Corporation submits, upon

instructions that, on account of financial crunch full payment of pensionary dues could not be made. It has been submitted that the due amount will be paid in favour of the petitioner within a very short period of time.

As the Corporation has admitted the dues of the petitioner and has undertaken to disburse the admissible amount, accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the employer, Chandannagore Municipal Corporation to take steps to release the balance payment in favour of the petitioner in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of four months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
