(VIA VIDEO CONFERENCE) Mr. Jahar Lal Roy Mrs. Kavita Rani ...for the petitioner Mr. Soumitra Bandopadhyay ...for the State The petitioner assails an order passed under the West Bengal Acquisition of Homestead Land for Agricultural Labourers, Artisans & Fishermen Act, 1975. It is submitted on behalf of the State that the petitioner has an alternative statutory efficacious remedy under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 before the competent authority.

In view of the submission made on behalf of the State I am of the view that this writ petition is not maintainable and is dismissed accordingly.

However, liberty is given to the petitioner to approach the competent authority for redressal his grievance, in accordance with law, if he is so advised. (Ravi Krishan Kapur,J)
