In the prayer for prior permission of the school, as it appears from Annexure P-1, the District Inspector of Schools granted prior permission for engaging two Laboratory Attendants.

Annexure P-2 is an appointment letter dated 12th April, 1984 issued to the petitioner which mentions his designation as Laboratory Attendant.

Annexure P-3, which is an approval of appointment, also shows the designation as Laboratory Attendant.

Therefore, all throughout he worked as a Laboratory Attendant and by filing this writ application in 2019, he has prayed for change of his designation from Laboratory Attendant to Laboratory Assistant. I do not find any merit in this writ application because the petitioner accepted his designation of Laboratory Attendant and worked as a Laboratory Attendant throughout his service career in the school and now he cannot take a different stance claiming his

post and designation as Laboratory assistant, therefore, this writ application is dismissed.
