The petitioner appeared and passed the Madhyamik Pariksha, 2022.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education responding to an application of the petitioner under the provision of the Right to Information Act, 2005 has supplied to the petitioner, the copy of her answer scripts in the said examination.

The petitioner is complaining, inter alia, that there is error in calculating number in respect of the answer to question no.

under "Reading Comprehension (Unseen)" of the 'English (Second Language)' paper.

The said grievance of the petitioner prima facie appears to be justified from the photocopy of the answer script of the said paper annexed with a writ petition.

The Board, therefore, is required to re-calculate the marks awarded to the petitioner against the

answers of the said question no. 3B and depending upon the outcome of such re-calculation shall take the follow up steps, if necessary.

The entire exercise in this regard is to be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 4354 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
