This is an application for enlargement of bail of the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for over three years without framing of charges. It is extremely unfortunate that the charges have not been framed till date.

Accordingly, we direct the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, 6th Court at Barasat, North 24 Parganas, to consider framing of charges on November 20, 2021 when this matter is fixed before the learned trial Judge and to conclude the trial within eight months from the date of commencement of trial.

The learned trial Court is requested not to grant any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties unless there are unavoidable

circumstances.
