Mr. Avijit Saha, learned Advocate appears for the petitioner.

Mr. Somnath Ganguly, learned Additional Government Pleader with Mr. Raja Ram Banerjee, learned State Advocate appear for the State respondents.

The sole grievance of the petitioner is that, the proceeding under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 is pending for long before the jurisdictional L.A. Collector, Annexure-P2 at Page13 to the writ petition. In view of the above, subject to the point of limitation, the jurisdictional L.A. Collector shall

consider the application and send it before the jurisdictional L.A. Judge upon verification of all the records and documents in accordance with law positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

After receiving the reference, the jurisdictional L.A. Judge shall dispose of the proceeding as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law. All points are kept open.

Since affidavits are not called for, the allegations made in this writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition, WPA 4382 of 2025 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs.
