Report suggests that the petitioners before us are involved in the business of small finance. Agents and staff of various small finance agencies came to the petitioner. It is contended on behalf of the petitioners that there is a counter police complaint earlier in a point of time and that the petitioners returned all the money.

Report suggests that the petitioners received money from various persons in the locality. There is a separate police case instituted against the petitioners in respect of such transaction by a different person.

State and the defacto complainant are represented.

Apparently, petitioners carried on small finance business, they took money from unsuspecting members of the public. There is a separate police complaint pending as against the petitioners.

Enlarging the petitioners on anticipatory bail at this stage will be inimical to the investigation. The entire gamut of the transaction may not be found by the investigating agency if anticipatory bail is granted.

In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners and the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.

Accordingly, C.R.M. (A) 703 of 2025 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Smita Das De, J.)
