The petitioner complains that she is being denied any access to the kitchen and recurring harassment is being inflicted at the behest of the respondent nos. 4 and 5.

The records of the case reflect that a case was earlier registered being Ballygunge Police Station Case No. 90 of

2023 dated 14.08.2023.

Learned advocate for the Staterespondents submits that the police authorities effectively have exercised powers in course of investigation but the prayers so advanced in the writ petition cannot be acceded to or exercised by the police authorities.

Having regard to the age of the present petitioner, I direct that the officerin-charge of Ballygunge P.S. will depute a lady police personnel, who would alternate day, visit and ascertain whether the present petitioner was subjected to any harassment and/or humiliation at the behest of any inmates of the home.

If any cognizable offence is complained of, the police authorities would take steps in accordance with law. Such arrangement of the lady police personnel's visit would continue for a period of four

weeks every alternate day.

In the mean time, the petitioner would approach the appropriate authorities under the provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Citizenship Act, 2007.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 4547 of 2024 is disposed of.

Affidavit of service so filed be kept with the record.
